LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - We have new details on the death of Texas Tech student Dalton Debrick, 18. We've learned a fraternity Debrick was reportedly pledging is no longer on campus.

Debrick died last month, on the weekend before classes began. His body was discovered at a home near 36th Street and Knoxville Ave. It's the same home where police responded just hours earlier, for a noise complaint.

A cause of death has still not been released.

On her facebook page, Dalton's mother says he was pledging the Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity.

Monday night, Texas Tech confirmed that fraternity is no longer active. Spokesman Chris Cook tells us that the national organization told the university they'd ceased operations, but they did not give a specific reason why.
