West Virginia stuns Texas Tech

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Josh Lambert kicked a 55-yard Field Goal as time expired, lifting West Virginia to a 37-34 victory over Texas Tech.

A crowd of 58,502 left stunned. The Red Raiders had a 34-20 lead with 7:32 left after Justin Stockton ran 69 yards for a touchdown.

The Red Raiders had 565 yards of offense but couldn't move the ball on their final drive. The Red Raiders had 4th and 3 at the West Virginia 46 with 1 minute to go and they opted to punt.

Devin Lauderdale had 3 catches for 112 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Davis Webb finished 28-46 for 348 yards with 3 TDs and 1 INT.

DeAndre Washington carried the ball 29 times for 132 yards.

Lambert's career best was 54 yards but when he booted the 55 yarder through, the Mountaineers stormed the field to celebrate.

With their 4th straight loss, the Red Raiders fall to 2-4 overall and 0-3 in the Big 12.

Texas Tech hosts Kansas 2:30 p.m. next Saturday.
