A group in Houston is revolutionizing the industry of medical scrubs, promising better protection for hospital staff and their patients.

Apparently, the game changer is copper, now that the EPA has found that copper ions kill 99% of bacteria within two hours.

"Copper as a natural element is antimicrobial, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and so when we weave it into the yarns or fabric, it becomes more protective," says Bert Emanuel, the CEO of Lango Shels.

Now, the so-called “medsuit” is a made-to-measure anti-microbial high performance scrubs, costing about $400.
