LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Dallas Morning News reports that Buddy Holly is coming back to Texas, as a hologram.
Hologram USA, the company that made headlines creating holograms of Tupac, Liberace and Jimmy Kimmel has now secured the rights to Buddy Holly's image.
Buddy's widow, Maria Elena Holly, released this statement:
"I am so excited that my partnership with Hologram USA on the Buddy Holly concert project will allow a new generation of fans to experience the thrill of seeing Buddy 'live' and in concert for the first time in many decades," says a statement from Maria Elena, who still lives on Turtle Creek. "This show is dedicated to Buddy's fans around the world. It is because of them that his music will not fade away."
No specific dates have been set yet, but the tour is scheduled for 2016.
