LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Officers received a report of a suspicious person at the McDonald's restaurant at 1905 50th Street around 9:40 a.m. on Thursday.

The woman refused to identify herself, but officers were eventually able to conduct a police records/computer and identify her as 27-year-old Renee Susan Shaffer.

Shaffer had an outstanding felony arrest warrant out of Tom Green County. A search of Shaffer and her property revealed several illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia. She was arrested.

It was later learned that Shaffer was "a person of interest" in connection with an active homicide investigation in Tom Green County. Investigators from San Angelo came to the Lubbock County Detention Center to interview Shaffer.

We'll continue to update this story as we learn more.
