LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - William Briley, 35, has been sentenced to life in prison for sexually abusing three family members.

Briley confessed to police and pleaded guilty to a charge of continuous abuse of a child in February.

On the stand, Briley talked about his addictive personality and his "crazy and inconsistent" childhood. He said he was raped by his teenage male babysitter when he was 7 and that he "cannot turn off his sexual desire for children."

Briley said his desire for children started at age 14.

Police say their step mother, Lacy McCauley knew about the abuse, but did not report it.

Both parents were arrested back in October 2013.
