Darene Brooks indicted on aggravated kidnapping

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock man accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting a young girl last month could soon be headed to court.
A grand jury indicted Darene Books on Tuesday.
He's accused of forcing a 12-year-old girl into his vehicle back on April 7.
The victim told police Brooks then sexually assaulted her.
Police found the victim hiding in a convenience store bathroom.
