Around 8:50 p.m., officers responded to a robbery at the Subway sandwich shop located inside the Valero at southeast Loop 289 and U.S. Highway 84. The victim told police that two suspects with rifles entered the store wearing black, hooded sweatshirts and masks. They demanded money from the register and ran from the store once they received it.

Fortunately, no one was injured in either robbery.  Police ask anyone with information to call

.  The number is (806) 741-1000 and you don't have to give your name.

Police released two surveillance images from the robbery at Subway. The mask looks similar to one worn by an armed robber who held up the Family Dollar on Avenue Q near 50th Street on May 20th.

We asked police about a possible connection, and they tell us that they are looking into a possible connection due to the similarity.
