LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The man involved in a home invasion and police standoff late last month is now headed to trial.

A Lubbock County grand jury has indicted 24-year-old Nicholas Sharp on charges of Aggravated Robbery.

Lubbock police say Sharp broke into a woman's home on June 23, a little after 3 a.m., in the 5500 block of 95th Street.

Investigators say Sharp climbed through the window, held the victim at gunpoint and stole several items.

Police say three days later, when officers went to serve him with a warrant at the Coronado Inn in North Lubbock, Sharp refused to leave the room.

The standoff lasted a few hours, but ended peacefully when he eventually surrendered to law enforcement.
