LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The man charged with the murder of Mark Ysasaga could now be headed to trial. A grand jury indicted Jose Simental on Tuesday.
He's accused of killing Ysasaga in June of 2012. Police say new evidence uncovered earlier this year at a home Simental used to rent connected him to the crime.
Authorities brought Simental back to Lubbock in May. He was already serving time in a Houston area prison for a different offense.
Police recovered Ysasaga's remains in June. A public memorial has now been scheduled for August 7th.
