Suspect in custody after early morning convenience store robbery

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A suspect is in custody after an early morning robbery at a Central Lubbock convenience store.

It happened about 3:20 a.m. at the 7-Eleven at 26th and Avenue Q. Police say Billy Glen Wilson, 31 was armed with a knife, wearing a shirt on his head, when he walked into the store and demanded money. Police say he fled on foot, carrying only a case of beer.

Wilson was located at 2300 Avenue N. The shirt was found at 25th and Avenue N.

Police say no one was injured in the robbery.
