LPD: 2 7-Eleven armed robberies less than an hour apart

On Sunday, July 26, 2015, at approximately 3:57 a.m., patrol officers responded to a report of a robbery just occurred at Seven Eleven, 5001 University Ave.

The suspect came in to the store wearing a gray sweater, gray pants and armed with a handgun. The suspect pointed the gun at the clerk and demanded cash from the register. The victim complied and the suspect fled with an undetermined amount of cash.

Approximately 35 minutes later, patrol officers responded to a report of a robbery at 7-Eleven, 8126 University Ave. A suspect matching the same description as the previous robbery came into the store and pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded cash from the register.

The victim complied and the suspect fled the scene with an undetermined amount of cash.
