LPD investigating attempted robbery at Central Lubbock home

This morning, Thursday, August 13, 2015, at approximately 2:30 a.m., patrol officers responded to a report of an attempted robbery just occurred at a residence in the 2500 block of 64th Street.

The victim heard a knock at the front door.

When the victim opened the door, he saw the suspect holding a shot gun and immediately closed the door. The suspect fired a round through the door and then fled the scene. No one inside the residence was hurt.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6' tall and 190 lbs.
