LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Four people remain in the hospital after a two-vehicle accident in South Lubbock County shut down parts of Highway 87 on Thursday evening.
Authorities tell us it happened a little after 6 p.m. at Highway 87 and Loop 493, right by the Lubbock-Cooper High School.
DPS, Woodrow fire, and EMS all responded to the accident.
Officials tell us a white passenger car, traveling south on Highway 87, collided with a dark sedan, heading east on Loop 493.
Southbound traffic on Highway 87 was shut down as officials worked the scene, while northbound traffic was closed to one lane. Both directions were back to normal as of Thursday night.
All four people involved were transported to UMC. At last check, one person suffered moderate injuries, while the other three suffered minor injuries.
No names have been released yet, and police are not saying if any citations will be issued.
