LPD releases name of North Lubbock shooting victim

Lubbock Police Department detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred Thursday night.
On Thursday, October 1, 2015, at approximately 11:50 p.m., patrol officers responded a report of shots fired at 2803 1st Place.
Officers arrived and found one gunshot victim inside the residence. They learned that the shots were fired from outside and into the residence. The victim was sitting in the living room and was struck at least one time.
No one else inside the residence was injured. The victim, Rojelio Gorostiza – 63, was transported to UMC where he later died.
