LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Police are searching for the suspects involved in the deadly shooting of 63-year-old Rojelio Gorostiza.

It happened late Thursday night in the 2800 block of 1st Place.

Neighbors are concerned that this crime occurred right down the street from an elementary school.

Residents of 2803 1st Place were nowhere to be found this afternoon.

Gorostiza's family is left wanting answers.

"I got a phone call last night like around 12:45 that my dad had been shot," Christine Granado, the victim's daughter said.

Neighbors say this is the second shooting at the same house this year.

"It was just scary... We live right next door and that bullet could have easily come into our house. My granddaughter sleeps right there," a neighbor said.

Police say there were three others in the house at the time of the incident.

They say shots were fired from outside of the house, but are still investigating whether or not this was a drive-by shooting.

"We don't know if shots were fired from a vehicle that was passing by, if somebody walked to the street and took shots from there," Mendoza said. "We don't know if they did it from the sidewalk or across the street."

Family members were at the scene this afternoon, and they believe that shots could have been fired from inside the house.

For now, they can only hope that their loved one will get the justice they believe he deserves.

"And if I were to have seen him last night I would tell him how much I loved him and how much I'll really miss him," Granado said.  "Because he was the one who would always be there for me when I needed something."
