Frullo donates to Model T restoration at Museum of Texas Tech

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A special donation Tuesday will help the Museum of Texas Tech refurbish a piece of history. State Representative John Frullo donated $1,000 to help make a 1927 Model T drivable again.

KFYO radio had used the car for promotional events, but then donated it to the museum.

"It's really neat, especially when you start looking at some of the items that are written on there, different football games, scores," Frullo said.

The Model T had been in storage until graduate student and museum volunteer Andy Harris learned of its existence. Now, Harris will be working to restore the vehicle.

"It is definitely a challenge of not only finding the right parts... But, the time and the money that's needed to do this, that's the challenge," Harris said.

Harris says the museum and KFYO have also donated to the project.
