LPD: Three charged in Central Lubbock robbery

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock Police have three men in custody following a Thursday afternoon robbery in central Lubbock. The victim told police that the men approached her at the Shiloh Apartments on Avenue R near 17th Street around 4:30 p.m.

The victim told police that one of the men put a bowie knife to her throat and stole her tablet out of her hand.  The men the ran from the scene.

Later an officer stopped a vehicle near 9th Street and Avenue Q. Police say the officer found the knife and tablet, and arrested Daniel Rangel, 53, Albert Zapata, 30, and Daniel Lopez, 36.

They are all behind bars at the Lubbock Co. Detention Center. Each is charged with aggravated robbery and organized crime.
