Pipeline explodes south of Ackerly

ACKERLY, TX (KCBD) - An early morning blast near the Dawson-Howard County line shook the town of Ackerly Tuesday.

According to KBST in Big Spring, an explosion happened about four miles south of town.

Ackerly and Howard County Volunteer Firefighters responded to the scene around 3:30 a.m. The firefighters report that an underground pipeline failed and caught fire. The line was successfully depressurized without incident, and no one was injured in the fire.
  
HCVFD Chief Tommy Sullivan shared video of the fire on Facebook. It shows large flames shooting out of the ground.
