LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - An 86-year-old man has died from injuries suffered in a Monday evening fire in the 5700 block of 14th Street.

Fire crews knocked down the fire and found a man inside, who was immediately taken for medical treatment. A dog was also found dead inside the house.

Three adults and one child have been displaced.

LFR was called to the scene at 6:01 p.m.

Lubbock fire officials have ruled that the fire was accidental, caused by items left on a stove.

They say the kitchen area suffered heavy fire damage and there's smoke damage throughout the rest of the house.

Family members told us that Pablo 'Popo' Romero died of his injuries from the fire.

A GoFundMe account has been set up for the family.
