Groundbreaking to be held for Monsanto Cottonseed Production Facility

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Monsanto will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for its new Cottonseed Production Facility in Lubbock.
The facility is expected to open summer 2017.
The new facility will serve as the company's primary U.S. hub for all commercial cotton seed processing operations including cleaning, treating and bagging of cotton seed.
Cutting-edge technology will allow the company to boost manufacturing efficiency, conserve resources and further enhance employee safety, while continuing its focus on seed quality.
The ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the site of FM 5800 and I-27.
