Third person dies in fatal train crash near Sudan

SUDAN, TX (KCBD) - A third person has died from a crash that happened on Saturday, April 23 near Sudan. The driver of the vehicle, 47-year-old Alicia Molina of Littlefield, died from her injuries this morning at University Medical Center.

Molina's 3-year-old son David Ojeda died from his injuries on Sunday, April 24. David's father, 48-year-old Ismael Ojeda died at the scene of the crash. Both Ismael and David were laid to rest on Friday, April 29.

Officials with the Department of Public Safety say Molina was driving southbound on CR 115 in a Chevy Equinox around 11 a.m. when the vehicle collided with the train. The crash happened two miles east of Sudan off US 84 in Lamb County.

The crash is still under investigation.
