POST, TX (KCBD) - Residents in Post began cleanup on Monday, in the wake of Sunday's damaging storms.
Severe hail the size of baseballs fell from the sky Sunday night, creating a lot of headaches across the town today.
Norma Wallace's car window had golf ball size holes through it when she checked it this morning.
"I was scared, I was just flat scared. Inside it sounded like it was coming through the roof," Wallace said. "I knew it'd get some dents but until I came outside and walked around and saw the windshield I just, oh I was sick I really was sick."
Steve Jones owns Auto Armor Glass and says his phone was ringing off the hook today.
"About 7:40 this morning my phone just started ringing I've had about 15 calls," Jones said. "They were talking about how large the hail was some of it was tennis sized hail, bigger."
Jones says the hail that got Wallace's car was about tennis ball size.
"It was just clear cubes of ice, it wasn't round tennis balls when it first started but then it got to that size almost as big as a tennis ball," Wallace said.
"I've seen it around Dallas and Houston but area but not this big of a hail in the Lubbock area in years," Jones said.
Wallace's back window is completely repaired but she still has dent hail damage.
However, she tells us, "All's well that ends well."
