On Tuesday, May 17, 2016, Levelland ISD was made aware of an allegation of possible inappropriate electronic communication between one of its teacher/coaches and a Levelland ISD student.
The District immediately placed the employee on paid administrative leave while it conducted an investigation regarding the allegations. On Wednesday, May 18, 2016, the employee resigned his employment with the District. The District promptly reported circumstances of the employee's resignation to local and state law enforcement, as well as the State Board for Educator Certification.
The District will continue to cooperate with law enforcement and educator licensing agencies in any on-going or future investigations.
