Bond for James Holland reduced to $1 million

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock County District Judge Trey McClendon approved bond reduction for James Holland on Tuesday afternoon.

His bond has been reduced from $2 million to $1 million.

Holland is the stepfather of Holli Jeffcoat. Jeffcoat was murdered back in February. Holland is not charged in her murder.

Courthouse sources tell KCBD that the District Attorney plans to file capital murder charges against Holland for the death of Holli Jeffcoat.

Holland is charged with sexual abuse of a child against a different family member. Deputies arrested him in March.
