Plainview firm pulls out of 'clock boy' case

PLAINVIEW, TX (KCBD) - A Plainview law firm representing Ahmed Mohammed, the 14-year-old boy arrested after his homemade clock was mistaken for a bomb last summer, has decided to pull out of the lawsuit.

The Plainview Herald reports that firm Laney and Bollinger will no longer represent the family due to what they call conflicting strategies between the firm and the family.

The firm announced a $15 million lawsuit on behalf of the boy's family back in November of 2015.
