LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A male driver is now in police custody after police found large amounts of money, illicit drugs and packaging inside of a vehicle.
The driver has been identified as 40-year-old Jason Garza.
The Lubbock Police Department says officers attempted to make a traffic stop Saturday, Aug. 20, around 3:00 a.m. when Garza drove off. A pursuit ensued from the intersection of University Avenue and Marsha Sharp Freeway until the 3000 block of 1st street. That is where the driver stopped the vehicle.
Lubbock Police say Garza was taken into custody without further incident.
