LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Sunday is looking much calmer than yesterday morning across the South Plains.

We have a slight chance of thunderstorms in the forecast for areas near Snyder, Jayton and Guthrie later today, but rain chances are much lower than we have seen in recent days.

We should dry out with southwest winds returning during the afternoon hours.

Under mostly sunny skies, high temperatures warm into the upper 80's to lower 90's.

We should dry out through Tuesday with low rain chances in the forecast through the middle of the work week.

Rain chances return late this week into the upcoming weekend.
