LPD investigators chase down fugitive in North Lubbock

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Fugitive Rodinirich Luke is now in custody after a vehicle and foot chase at 2700 Duke.

Police describe Luke as a known criminal with outstanding felony warrants, considered armed and dangerous.

A pair of investigators with the Lubbock Police Department located a vehicle used by Luke in connection with a credit card abuse incident at South Plains Mall.

Investigators tried to pull the vehicle over at around 4:30 p.m. Monday afternoon.

Luke abandoned the vehicle in an alley and took off on foot, running south and jumping fences.

Two other men were detained at the vehicle by one investigator while the other chased Luke. A perimeter was established and a K9 unit was called in.

Luke was found hiding under a trailer in the 2700 block of Emory.

Luke was taken to the Lubbock County Detention Center. Property bought with stolen credit cards, a handgun and narcotics were found inside the vehicle.
