Kids Health Fair and Fitness Day

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Texas Tech School of Medicine Pediatrics Club is hosting a health fair Saturday for kids in conjunction with Kids Day sponsored by Texas Tech Athletics.

There will be jump ropes, hula hoops, obstacle courses, and much more to get kids excited about staying fit.

It's this Saturday from noon to 3.  Kids between the ages of 6 and 13 get in free.

It is 5 dollars for Adults to get into the United Supermarket Arena.

But they can get blood pressure checks or just watch the Tech volleyball game while the kids are busy with their activities.

Medical school students will also treat kids to stethoscope demonstrations so they can listen to their own hearts.

There will also be a fun event where kids will be given a pedometer and the challenge to see how many steps they can get while dancing to a certain song.

It should be a lot of fun for kids with some good health lessons thrown into the mix.
