LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A morning cold front has passed through the entire viewing area. In its wake, we are experiencing cooler temperatures and gusty north winds.

Other than a few high clouds, we can expect mostly sunny skies and pleasant daytime highs in the upper 70's to lower 80's. Gusty winds will taper off as the afternoon goes along.

Clear skies are expected tonight with lows in the 40s.  A few areas could dip into the 30s northwest of Lubbock near Muleshoe. Southerly winds warm us into the 80s again Wednesday.

A stronger cold front arrives Wednesday afternoon, bringing north winds and much cooler weather to close out the rest of the work week.

A gradual warming trend is expected over the weekend.

Dry weather is expected for most of us the next five days.
