Queue for the Cause to help special needs kids this weekend
LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Put this on your calendar if you'd like dinner and some auction fun to raise money to help those with special needs.
The event is called Queue For the Cause.
Sponsored by the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Advocates for Special Needs Athletes, the annual fundraiser is expected to bring in about $7,000 to benefit High Point Village and the Texas Tech Therapeutic Riding center.
High Point Village is a non-profit organization developed for the purpose of providing and enriching the lives of individuals with special needs through a variety of vocational, educational, social and motivational activities.
Texas Tech Therapeutic Riding Center provides equine-assisted therapy to people with disabilities in the South Plains. Through a collaborative effort of medical and universal professionals, their goal is to enhance the quality of life of each person participating in Hippotherapy and Therapeutic Riding.
Queue for the Cause is next Friday, November 11th, at 7 p.m. at the Merket Alumni Center on the Texas Tech campus.
Be sure to bring rolls of quarters to participate in the quarter auction. The rules will be explained in detail at the event. For more information, to purchase a ticket or to make a donation, visit https://www.ttuhsc.edu/studentservices/qfc/ or email Carly Humphrey at carly.humphrey@ttuhsc.edu.
