(KCBD) - Lubbock is still experiencing low temperatures Sunday, with locations in the viewing area between 20 and 30 degrees as of 2 p.m. Sunday.

However, low wind chills will be taking shape once again. The low tonight in Lubbock will be nine degrees.

For the workweek leading up to Christmas we will warm up until Wednesday, reaching a high of around 62 degrees. Thursday we will start a cooling trend that looks to last through Christmas.

Christmas Eve is now in our seven-day forecast, and the holiday will be something to pay attention to as we're looking at cold temperatures and a slight chance for precipitation, particularly on Christmas Day! However, it is still far out and models tend to flip-flop at this point, so stick with us on that.
