LUBBOCK COUNTY, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock man convicted of continuous sexual abuse of a child has been sentenced to 99 years confinement in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. Chavez will have no chance of parole, he must serve his sentence day-to-day.

According to court documents, 29-year-old Charles Chavez sexually assaulted four children under the age of 14 from May 2014 through Sept. 2014.

Authorities said Chavez worked at the Boys and Girls Club of Lubbock when he victimized several different children. One victim told police the assault happened at Chavez's home.

In April, a Lubbock County grand jury decided to reindict Chavez from a 2014 case. He was originally indicted on charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child, but those charges were changed to continued sexual assault of a child.
