(KCBD) - Skies should slowly clear Wednesday night, but some patchy freezing fog may develop again overnight.
However, road conditions shouldn't be as hazardous on Thursday morning. It will still be cold with lows in the teens and 20s for the region, including 20s in Lubbock.
Thursday afternoon will bring south to southwest winds and sunshine, along with much warmer temps. The highs on Thursday will climb to the 50s with some low 60s possible in the western south plains and 50s in the eastern areas.
The warming trend will continue into Friday with highs in the 60s with plenty of sunshine.
The warmth is short-lived as another shot of arctic air and precipitation chances return over the weekend.
