Central Lubbock man may have died from apparent gunshot wound

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The Lubbock Police Department's Persons Crime Unit is investigating a case in which a man was found dead in a residence.

Police were called to 1314 65th Dr.,northwest of the Interstate 27 and South Loop intersection, at around 8 p.m. Friday. When police arrived they found the 32-year-old Matthew Pickett dead in the residence, according to an LPD news release.

Pickett appeared to have dead from a gunshot wound, though police have not deemed that the ultimate cause of his death. KCBD NewsChannel 11 will update this story as more information becomes available.
