Police search for 2 males after attempted robbery leads to chase
(KCBD) - One person is in jail and police are looking for two other men after an attempted robbery led to a police chase around 4:54 a.m. Saturday at 66th Street and Avenue P.
Police say the initial robbery took place between people but when one refused to pay, one of the groups began chasing the other.
That is when Lubbock police located one of the suspect's vehicles and got involved. Police say they tried to stop the vehicle, but when the driver refused to stop a chase began.
That chase ended after the suspect's car broke down in the 2000 block of 101st Street. The Three people in the car, including one female and two males, then tried to escape on foot.
Police we able to catch up with the female, 23-year-old Cassey Ricks, who was arrested on an outstanding warrant, as well as possession of a stolen firearm and evading arrest.
Police say they have identified and are searching for the other two male suspects and believe one of those men may be armed.
No other details are being released at this time. KCBD NewChannel 11 will update this story as more information becomes available.
