LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock police are searching for a suspect in two armed robberies that happened on Friday and Saturday.

Police issued this statement on Monday afternoon:

Investigators believe the same suspect is responsible for two armed robberies that occurred at the same area about 24 hours apart.

On Friday, March 30th just after 9 p.m., this black male was caught on camera robbing the Family Dollar at 4426 34th Street. As the cashier scanned his items, he pulled out a gun and demanded money from the register.

Just a little more than 24 hours later, on Saturday, March 31st, the suspect entered the EZ Mart also located at 4426 34th Street. The suspect waited until all customers left the store and walked up to the counter. He then pulled out a gun and demanded money from the register.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 5'07" to 5'10" and weighs approximately 140 to 160 pounds. He is believed to be in his 20s.
