(KCBD) - There will be rain late Friday and early Saturday, though it is unlikely there will be measurable rainfall during the day Friday (but a few light showers may occur).
The best chance of rain and storms – still – is Friday evening through Saturday morning. Some strong storms are likely, and a few of these may be marginally severe (mainly over the southwestern half of the KCBD viewing area).
Marginally severe describes storms producing weather that is on the threshold of severe, defined as hail at least 1 inch in diameter, and/or wind gusts of at least 58 mph, and/or a tornado.
In the forecast conditions, hail appears to be the primary threat, and a few spots may experience heavy rainfall. The hail threat may be mainly during Friday evening, with the heavy rain potential Friday night.
