LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Through an open records request, KCBD has obtained 47 pages worth of fire code violations addressed to Jacob Goetz, President of Goetz and Sons Inc. All but one of these pages include multiple violations.

Most of the violations are listed as failure to abate fire hazard and failure to provide adequate fire watch. This comes as Goetz and Sons cotton warehouses have seen six fires in East Lubbock in January and February alone.

The Lubbock Fire Marshal's Office tells KCBD that these citations can cost anywhere from around $150 to 200, all the way up to $2,000. A judge overseeing these citations will determine how much Goetz must pay.
