LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Lubbock Fire Rescue responded to a grass and fence fire in the 4400 block of 39th on Tuesday.

Crews responded around 7 p.m. and found grass, parts of a fence and a shed on fire.

The fire was quickly contained and extinguished.

The Lubbock Fire Marshals office was called to investigate the cause of the fire, which was determined to be a group of juveniles playing in the back yard with a camp fire they had built.

The Fire Marshal says the camp fire started the grass fire, which spread to the fence and shed.

They say this investigation is considered closed.
