PLAINVIEW, TX (KCBD) - Residents at the Central Village Apartments in Plainview are wondering when they will be getting natural gas back.

Apartment management gave tenants notice on April 10 that they would be without natural gas. It's been almost a month, and residents aren't sure when they'll see it turned back on.

Penny Davenport, a resident at Central Village, spoke with KCBD.

"I actually have the notice from April 10 where they pin those to our doors and said that we would be without natural gas service until an undetermined amount of time... and we're still without (it)."

This makes things especially tricky for the residents, many of whom are raising families without heat or hot water.

"Having to cook in the microwave, just microwavable food...it's hard. We're not used to not having gas or hot water or heat. It was harder when it was colder because there was no heat, so we were all wrapped up in blankets."

Maria Sanchez, a mother and resident of Central Village, tells KCBD.

We've reached out to apartment management and the Plainview City Manager. Neither have responded but we will update this story as soon as they do.
