(KCBD) - One man is in the Lubbock County Detention Center after crashing his Chevy truck into a home Friday night.

Lubbock police say the accident happened around 9 p.m., at 40th and Ave T.

Witnesses told police 22-year-old Christian Antonio Diaz lost control of his vehicle and crashed through a brick and metal fence and into a home.

The officer stated in his report the witnesses detained Diaz on the scene until officers could get there. The report also says Diaz vomited several times during questioning. He also was falling asleep during the questioning. The officers believed he was intoxicated. Diaz refused a field sobriety test and also a blood test. The officer was able to get a warrant to get his blood drawn and he was taken to UMC for the test.

One injury was reported in the crash.

Diaz was then taken to the Lubbock County Detention Center where he was charged with a DWI and not having insurance. He is being held on a $1,500 bond.
