Thunderstorms should develop across the area and spread to the northeast during the afternoon and evening hours.
Any storms that develop could produce very large hail and wind gusts up to 70 mph.
Storms could develop rapidly this afternoon.
By this evening, storm coverage will favor the eastern half of the viewing area with potential to experience heavy rainfall, strong wind gusts, hail and frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes.
Pay close attention to weather conditions across the area this afternoon and this evening as severe weather is possible across the region today and tonight.
