2 former Lubbock residents killed in head-on collision

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (KCBD) - KOAA in Colorado Springs reports that two former Lubbock residents have been killed in a head-on collision on Highway 83.

KOAA reports that Julee Davis and fiance Festus Poyner, residents of Green Mountain Falls, CO, formerly of Lubbock, were killed when their black Toyota SUV and a white F-150 collided head-on Highway 83 south of Jones Road between Franktown and the El Paso county line in Douglas County around 12 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
The couple's 2-year-old son, Candence, was also in the accident and underwent emergency surgery on his legs Sunday. The couple also had a 3-month old baby girl who was not in the vehicle. The occupants of the pickup were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
