LUBBOCK, TX (AP) - It was a night of showers and some storms for a few on the south plains. At KCBD we received about 1/3rd inch of rain but there were heavier amounts in the Seminole and Seagraves areas. Storms did produce some wind gusts over 50 mph along with blowing dust and small hail.
Looking ahead to Friday and the weekend it will be a lower rain chance and higher afternoon temps. Scattered storms still possible Thursday but after that, it will be isolated storms if any from Friday through the Memorial Day weekend.
As for the temperatures, Thursday will climb to near 90 degrees and Friday and they will range from 95 to near 100 degrees through Monday.
It looks like it will be later next week before significant rain chances return to the region.
