LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - If you're headed to your favorite lake and/or campsite you'll find sunny skies and some hot temps for the Memorial Weekend.
Rain chances will be low and anything that develops would be isolated and only last for a short period of time. So, be prepared for plenty of heat across the state with plenty of sunshine and south winds. Be sure and add the sunscreen, bug spray, hats/caps and plenty of water for the heat.
The daytime highs will climb to the mid-90s on Friday, around 100 degrees on Saturday, Sunday and Memorial Day. There will be some wind, but not enough to make it feel cooler, except when you come out of the water.
It appears that the heat will stay with the region through the weekend and through most of next week. In fact, daytime highs should be between 95-100 from Saturday until next Friday.
