Law enforcement in Clovis arrest 3 escaped inmates after standoff

CLOVIS, NM (KCBD) - The three escaped inmates from the Curry County jail in Clovis were apprehended by law enforcement officials at around 6 p.m. on Tuesday after a nearly three-hour standoff.

The three escaped from the jail at around 11 a.m. Friday and have since been on the loose. The inmates are 31-year-old Aaron Davis Clark, 24-year-old Ricky Sena and 28-year-old Victor Apodaca.

The Eastern New Mexico News reported the standoff began at around 3:30 p.m. close to Dennis Chavez Park in Clovis. Three gunshots were heard at around 5 p.m., then at least three women were rushed into police vehicles and taken away from the area.

All three were distraught and screaming as they were being taken away but they did not appear to have any injuries, according to ENMN.
