Severe Thunderstorm Warning issued for counties near panhandle

(KCBD) - The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning until 9 p.m. for parts of Bailey, Parmer, Castro and Lamb counties.

A severe thunderstorm was found about 7 miles west of Lazbuddie moving east at 30 mph, according to the NWS.

The storm is capable of producing 70 mph wind gust and could produce golfball-sized hail.

Areas that could be impacted include Earth, Bovina, Lazbuddie and Springlake.
