LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A man is in serious condition at University Medical Center after a Wednesday morning shooting.
The Lubbock Police Department Persons Crime Unit is investigating the case.
It happened before 9 a.m. Police say the 46-year-old man arrived home and was already shot, a family member called the police. An ambulance picked the man up from the home in the 4800 block of 40th Street, which is near 40th and Utica.
The identify of the man has not been released by police at this time.
Investigators with the Lubbock Police Department's Persons Crimes Unit were called to the scene to begin an investigation. At this time, it is still unclear when and where the shooting occurred. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation at this time.
